Meet Brittany
Brittany grew up in a small town in northern BC. She went to Alberta to pursue post-secondary education in sciences. After two years, she shifted her focus after discovering an interest in Nursing. In 2009, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Alberta.
Upon completing her studies, she moved to Manitoba and began working in a Gastrointestinal/Urology surgical unit at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. Brittany resided there for five years but had always wanted to return to BC. In 2014, she relocated to Kelowna with her husband and dog.
Before becoming an Inflammatory Bowel Disease nurse in 2020, Brittany worked in Community Health with at-risk individuals and in a private rheumatology office. She later established herself in the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit at Kelowna General Hospital. Because of her knowledge of rheumatology and autoimmune diseases, she was asked to collaborate with the Inflammatory Bowel Disease physicians and joined the team at Kelowna Gastroenterology Associates.
